NAJA MUNTHE´S GUIDE TO NEW YORK CITY
Follow the footsteps to Naja´s favourite spots.
Founder and director, Naja Munthe, recently came home from a trip to New York City where she emerged in all of the things this city has to offer. From great views, amazing restaurants to cute parks, read about all her favourite spots here.
Equinox Hotel
33 Hudson Yards
This hotel is located in Hudson Yards and offers the most incredible views of the river. It was amazing to wake up here and go for a morning workout in the gym overlooking the skyline.
Greenwich Village
This neighborhood has a special atmosphere with its tree-lined streets and classic brownstone-buildings. Perfect for a good stroll and a lunch at one of the many cafés and restaurants.
Roman and Williams Guild
53 Howard Street
My favourite store in New York City. I never miss this spot when I’m here. There are endless amounts of inspiration from their approach to interior design. Alongside the store there’s also a gallery and a restaurant called ‘La Mercerie’.
New York Art Fair – The Armory Show
429 11th Avenue
Each year New York hosts an art fair that brings the world’s leading international contemporary and modern art galleries to the city. A reoccurring event in September that you can’t miss if you’re in the city.
The High Line
This park, spanning from Hudson Yards to Whitney Museum of American Art, once served as an elevated rail line but is now open for the public to enjoy. The overgrown rail line is a unique way to explore the city from a different point of view.
Little Island
Pier 55 in Hudson River Park
With its location on top of 280 cement poles, this park is truly a unique experience. It almost looks like it’s floating, which makes it very futuristic looking.
Cipriani Downtown
376 West Broadway
One of my favourite restaurants in New York. The atmosphere is always great, and the Italian food is spot on. You never leave hungry.
Enjoy this amazing city!

Garment District
For a designer this area in Midtown Manhattan is a must visit. The district still serves as an epicenter for American fashion and plays an important part when it comes to production and manufacturing of garments.
