ART IN THE CITY: PARIS

We want to celebrate art around the world by asking our MUNTHE muses what art means to them and how it is reflected in the city they live in. That’s why we have started a monthly concept on our social media platforms called ‘Art in the City’.

I n this month’s edition, our French muse Loïcka Biampandou, takes us through her favourite art galleries and museums in her city, Paris.

Galerie Institut Giacometti

The Institut Giacometti is the reference place for Giacometti’s work, located in the 14th arrondissement, where he lived and worked throughout his career. I love this gallery, because he is an emblematic artist in the world who is known for his sculptures in the human form, which I find incredible.

Musée Rodin

The collections of Auguste Rodin are presented in an eighteenth-century mansion standing at the heart of a beautiful garden. It is a very emblematic place to go look at many popular sculptures. It's a very romantic and poetic place.

Galerie Pierre Augustin Rose

It's the result of a partnership between two antique dealers and a design enthusiast to create a gallery selling interior furniture. This is my favorite place in Paris, the aesthetic, the choice of each sofa, piece of furniture and sculpture has a real influence on the way I dress when I walk around there.
